ABOUT ME

I started my career in local television as a web producer and now work as a content manager for a media publishing company with a focus on digital content for children and their families. The gig presented itself as a kind of a dream job during the coronavirus pandemic. A few months at home had me reassess what I really wanted to do, and then a job posting called that was a perfect blend of all of my work experiences and my #momlife.

I've been not only a web producer, but a video producer (who also narrated videos), a newsletter writer, and a copy editor. I took on both formal and informal leadership opportunities. I graduated from leadership programs at Poynter and the News Leaders Association, which were incredible experiences. But I also really loved just tackling new challenges in the newsroom and hitting "senior" status while doing some mentoring.

These days, I've also tacked on the title of businesswoman, launching my own online shop. I adore writing. Much of it stays private or without a byline but sometimes I blog.

And I keep daydreaming about publishing my own book one day (either a children's book or a fictionalized take on a memoir).
